Guardians of the Hold

When the Moonhowlers first infiltrated the Malachite Hold, they were able to use the gnomish language to stop its ancient mechanical guardians without harming them. Their earlier experiences in Jzadirune had taught them a little about these massive, stone-cutting constructs – not enough to outright control them, but at least to stop them from attacking. The Creepers, however, have been fascinated with the giant machines and have had a lot more time to study their functions.

Now, the pair of Hammerer Automatons, HM-005 and HM-006, serve as guardians of the Hold as they tirelessly watch the Underdark Gate. The Creepers have managed to learn a handful of commands which the Automatons obey about half of the time.
